THE ROLE

As a Senior AI Engineer you will join a high-impact AI team focused on developing and deploying advanced generative AI solutions.

Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following

Building and deploying LLM-powered applications from prototype through to production

Fine-tuning large language models for specific use cases and content requirements

Designing, curating, and managing datasets for model training and evaluation

Developing and optimising Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines

Creating evaluation frameworks and quality metrics for AI model performance

Implementing human-in-the-loop feedback systems to improve outputs

Supporting AI-driven features such as summarisation, personalisation, and real-time content generation

Exploring speech and audio technologies, including text-to-speech solutions

Collaborating closely with product, engineering, and design teams to deliver innovative AI experiences

Contributing to experiments involving multimodal AI across text, image, and audio

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Senior AI Engineer will have the following skills and experience

Strong commercial experience building LLM or NLP-based systems

Hands-on experience with platforms such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Cohere, Mistral, or Hugging Face

Expertise in fine-tuning techniques, including supervised fine-tuning and prompt optimisation

Strong understanding of RLHF, RLAIF, and preference modelling approaches

Advanced Python development skills

Experience with tools and frameworks such as LangChain and Hugging Face Transformers

Familiarity with data tooling including Pandas, DVC, and Weights & Biases

Experience evaluating model performance using both quantitative and qualitative metrics

Knowledge of speech technologies, including speech-to-text and text-to-speech solutions

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, experimental environment
