About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established chartered accountancy and business advisory practice that supports businesses across the UK with a comprehensive range of services including accounts, audit, tax, cloud accounting and business advisory. The business is known for its proactive approach, sector knowledge and commitment to delivering practical, commercially focused solutions.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join their Leicester team.
The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing a varied portfolio of clients while supporting junior team members and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for a range of SME and owner-managed business clients
Producing management accounts and financial reports
Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns
Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact
Providing proactive accounting and business advice to clients
Supporting junior team members through mentoring and technical guidance
Assisting with workflow management and ensuring deadlines are met
Liaising with HMRC and other external stakeholders where required
Supporting partners and managers on ad-hoc projects and advisory assignments
About You
ACA or ACCA qualification (or be Qualified by Experience with strong practice exposure)
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
Experience managing your own client portfolio
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
A proactive and commercially minded approach
