A well-established and growing independent accountancy practice in South Manchester is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its friendly and ambitious team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys working closely with clients, taking ownership of a varied portfolio, and playing an active role in the continued growth of a modern, forward-thinking practice.

The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses and individuals, providing both compliance services and proactive business advice.

Key responsibilities include

Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.

Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.

Preparing management accounts and financial reports.

Completing corporation tax, personal tax and VAT returns.

Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing support and mentoring.

Developing strong, long-term client relationships.

Identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes and add value through advisory services.

The Ideal Candidate Applicants should possess:

Qualified by experience equally (if not more) valued as ACA or ACCA qualification

Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.

Experience managing a client portfolio independently.

Strong technical knowledge of accounts and taxation.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
