Marks Sattin are delighted to be partnering with a growing independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Harrogate to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and expanding practice that prides itself on delivering high-quality advice and building long-term relationships with a really diverse portfolio of clients.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the team, taking responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients while working closely with the Senior Leadership Team.

The Role

As a Senior Accountant, your primary focus will be the preparation of larger and more complex statutory accounts, predominantly for limited companies. You will work directly with clients, providing technical expertise and commercial insight, while supporting the continued growth of the firm.

Key responsibilities will include

Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders

Managing larger and more complex assignments with a high degree of autonomy

Applying strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 105 reporting standards

Producing and reviewing monthly and quarterly management accounts

Providing financial analysis, reporting insights and recommendations to clients

Building strong relationships with business owners, directors and senior stakeholders

Supporting clients with financial reporting processes and systems

Assisting and mentoring junior team members
