Responsibilities As a Senior Accountant, you'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, predominantly owner-managed businesses, providing accounting, taxation and business advisory services.

Your responsibilities will include

Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.

Preparing corporation tax and personal tax computations.

Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.

Providing accounting and tax planning advice to owner-managed businesses.

Identifying opportunities to improve clients' accounting processes and financial reporting.

Working closely with managers and directors on client assignments.

Reviewing work prepared by junior accountants.

Mentoring and supporting trainees in their professional development.

Requirements To be considered for this Senior Accountant position, you'll ideally have:

ACA or ACCA qualification.

Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice.

Strong experience preparing statutory accounts and tax computations.

Experience working with owner-managed businesses.

Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.

The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.

Experience supervising or mentoring junior accountants.

Knowledge of CCH would be advantageous but is not essential.

You'll be commercially aware, confident dealing directly with clients and keen to develop your advisory experience. Career Progression This position offers the opportunity to develop your technical expertise while gaining greater exposure to advisory work and client management.
