Friday: 08:45hrs till 16:15hrs

We are recruiting an experienced and proactive Sales Office Manager to lead our clients internal sales office and provide exceptional support to both customers and the external sales team.

This is a hands-on role where you will combine customer service, technical sales support, office management and people leadership. Acting as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the sales office while supporting business growth and delivering an outstanding customer experience.You will oversee quotations, order processing, technical enquiries and customer communications, while leading and developing a small office-based team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day running of the Sales Office, ensuring high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.

Act as the main point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone and email.

Prepare and manage quotations, sales orders and technical proposals.

Provide customers with technical advice and product recommendations relating to mechanical geared motors.

Support the external sales team by ensuring enquiries and projects are progressed efficiently.

Lead, coach and develop junior members of the sales office team.

Allocate workloads, monitor performance and provide ongoing training and support.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal departments.

Resolve customer queries and issues promptly, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

Monitor office procedures and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service levels.

Manage office administration including stationery, office supplies and petty cash.

Maintain accurate customer records using the company's CRM and ERP systems.

Work closely with production, engineering and logistics teams to ensure orders are delivered on time.

Ensure all documentation and customer information is maintained accurately.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a Sales Office Manager, Internal Sales Manager, Sales Team Leader or Customer Service Manager position.

Engineering or mechanical background is highly desirable.

Experience managing or supervising a small office-based team.

Strong customer service and relationship management skills.

Commercial awareness with the ability to identify sales opportunities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.

Experience using CRM or ERP systems would be advantageous.

Strong attention to detail with excellent administrative skills.

A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
