What you'll do
As the head of our Commercial New Business team for DACH, you'll play an instrumental role in fueling growth for Stripe in the market through new customer acquisition and setting the long-term strategy for this user segment. You'll lead and coach high-performing account executives, helping them deliver on ambitious targets, as well as work hands-on directly with users and prospects. We're looking for an individual who is keen to work alongside a high-performing team of individuals to navigate complex organizations, find new opportunities to make payments a competitive advantage for their businesses, and evolve our joint go-to-market in new ways.
Responsibilities
Recruit, develop, and lead a team of sales professionals, with a particular focus on the Commercial segment in DACH
Develop the long-term vision and strategy for the team and manage day-to-day operations, with a focus on performance against key sales metrics
Be accountable for increasing revenue and new client acquisition at high rates of growth
Driving deal strategy and execution including strong pipeline development, opportunity and renewal management, and forecasting
Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills through all facets of the sales cycle
Play a personal and direct role in building and maintaining enduring customer relationships, up to C-level
Inspire, motivate, and enable personal and career development of team members, both to promote career growth and to increase impact for Stripe
Collaborating closely with key stakeholders across Sales, Product and Connect, Sales Ops, S&O, Marketing, GTM Partnerships, and others
Participate in industry events to help support positive market awareness

Minimum requirements
10+ years of relevant sales experience
Track record leading sales teams to success in ambiguous environments
Experience consistently forecasting and managing a high-growth business for multiple quarters
Thrives in settings with a high level of autonomy to create strategy, direction, and structure
Ability to hire, train, and coach a high-performance sales team
Ability to build executive relationships with custom
