About the Japanese desk

As pioneers in the industry, Excel was the first British agency to establish a dedicated Japanese Lettings Desk—setting the standard for expertise in this unique market. Now part of the David Astburys family, we continue to build on that legacy, providing tailored relocation and lettings services for Japanese clients across London’s most prestigious neighbourhoods. Our in-depth cultural understanding, language support, and long-standing corporate relationships ensure a smooth and trusted experience for both tenants and landlords alike.

The past three decades have seen us build enduring relationships with a host of London based Japanese corporations that depend on us to source suitable Japanese houses and apartments meeting the discerning requirements of their executive employees.

This sector of the market has been not only extremely difficult to break into but also to maintain a strong presence in over the last 30 years, due to the intrinsic requirements of the Japanese corporate tenants. We have positioned ourselves as the go-to agent for forward-thinking individuals and companies who appreciate the balance of extensive knowledge of Japanese business and cultural practices, alongside unrivalled local knowledge and expertise that helps our Landlords maximise the potential of their rental investments.

The role of Japanese Lettings Consultant is pivotal to maintaining and developing these longstanding relationships and ensuring that David Astburys remains a trusted name in the Japanese Corporate Lettings world.
