RTR Accountant

Job Title: RTR Accountant - Intercompany (12-Month FTC)

Location: Salford (Hybrid - 1-2 days in office)

Salary: Up to £50,000

Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced RTR Accountant to join a high-performing finance function on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role sits within the Record-to-Report (RTR) team, focusing on intercompany accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting across the group.

Key Responsibilities

Manage intercompany accounting processes, including journals, reconciliations, and balance matching

Ensure timely month-end close activities in line with reporting deadlines

Investigate and resolve intercompany differences across multiple entities

Collaborate with finance teams, treasury, and shared services to improve processes

Support VAT and tax compliance relating to intercompany transactions

Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to automate and streamline workflows

Assist with audit requirements, providing supporting documentation and analysis

Contribute to system testing and process documentation where required

Key Requirements

(ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent)

Proven experience in intercompany accounting within an RTR environment

Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills

Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion or similar preferred)

High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Desirable

Experience in a shared service or high-volume environment

Exposure to process improvement or transformation projects

Working Pattern

Hybrid working: 1-2 days per week in the Salford office
