Reporting Accountant

A leading speciality insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Reporting Accountant to join its Finance team in London on a fixed-term basis.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility for statutory reporting, month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations and audit support across multiple entities.

In this Reporting Accountant role, you will be responsible for

Preparing statutory financial statements for multiple entities.

Liaison with external auditors.

Finalising monthly and quarterly trial balances accurately and to tight deadlines.

Reviewing cash journals and bank reconciliations.

Performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.

Quarterly group reporting.

Identifying and resolving accounting issues independently and contributing to wider Finance deliverables.

The successful candidate for this Reporting accountant role, will need the following experience:

Previous experience in a finance role at an insurance business

Strong knowledge of insurance accounting.

Proven experience preparing statutory accounts.

Strong Excel skills.

Proven experience with financial data reconciliation.

Desirable

Experience within the Lloyd's market and/or company market.

Experience working across multiple legal entities.
