An exciting opportunity to join a well-established logistics business as a Financial Analyst, offering a salary of £50,000 – £55,000 and the flexibility of a fully remote role. Work as the go-to finance partner for senior operational leaders, turning the numbers into practical guidance that influences day-to-day and longer-term decisions
Interrogate large volumes of operational and financial data to build analysis and performance measures that drive real improvement across the operation
Play an active part in the annual budget and forecast cycles, making sure plans are realistic and tied to the wider direction of the business
Pinpoint where cost can be reduced, margin protected and efficiencies gained, putting forward clear recommendations and challenging assumptions where needed
Own the month-end performance reporting for the operational leadership team, explaining movements, trends and where attention is needed
Assess proposals for capital spend, modelling expected returns and how quickly each investment pays for itself
Build strong, trusted working relationships across both the finance team and the wider operation
Location / Office / Culture
This role is fully remote with 3 to 4 office visits a year at most, giving you excellent work-life balance. You'll be joining a friendly, collaborative finance team within a business that values open, honest input and genuinely listens to its people.
What We Are Looking For
ACCA/CIMA qualified ideally, though part-qualified candidates will be considered
Hands-on business partnering experience is essential
Commercial finance experience is essential
Confident working with large datasets is essential
A commercial mindset, with the confidence to push back and hold your own with senior stakeholders
Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with reporting systems
Experience within logistics, transport or distribution is desirable but not essential
