Job Description

Regional Operations Manager – Cleaning & Grounds (Home Counties, Bristol, Wales, London)

Location: Home-based in the Newbury / Swindon / Bristol corridor

(must be able to travel to Bristol every other week for a few days)

About the Role

A leading facilities management company is looking for a Regional Operations Manager to take full ownership of a £7m cleaning and grounds maintenance portfolio covering the Home Counties, Bristol, South West, Wales, and London.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll

Lead and develop a team of 6 Operations Managers across the region

Act as the primary operational leader and trusted advisor to clients and, where relevant, to our major FM partnership

Drive service excellence, compliance, and on-account growth across a multi-site, mobile cleaning operation

Be based primarily in the Newbury / Swindon / Bristol area, with regular travel across the region and bi-weekly time in Bristol

Own the P&L, KPIs, client relationships, and performance improvement plans for the region

Who You Are

An experienced Regional Operations Leader in commercial cleaning / soft FM with a track record of managing multi-site, mobile operations across a large geography

Currently (or recently) managing a portfolio of £5m–£10m+ with 5–8 managers underneath you

Comfortable leading through service improvement, turnaround, and growth – not just maintaining the status quo

Based in or able to relocate to the Newbury / Swindon / Bristol corridor

Confident covering Wales, Bristol, Home Counties, and London as a single region

Strong on people leadership, client relationships, and commercial acumen (budgets, cost control, on-account growth)

Used to working in a cleaning-first business (some grounds maintenance is a plus)

Ideally IOSH qualified or willing to undertake relevant health & safety training
