Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our West Bromwich based client who are seeking a dynamic Quality Manager to join their successful team. Hours of work are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and a 2.30pm finish Fridays.
Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the business.
Develop, implement, communicate and manage the Quality Management System throughout the business.
Effectively interact with production teams to maintain and improve product quality and supply and lead the introduction of new products.
Working with purchasing to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
Bringing together different disciplines of the business and drive the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures and methods of operation.
Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
Liaising with customers and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.
Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
Organise, manage and develop quality department personnel in close co-operation with the Company’s Management team in order to support budget and business expectations.
Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated
Writing management systems reports.
Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components.
Any other reasonable duties requested to be undertaken by the Board.
Metallurgical knowledge would be beneficial

To ensure that company products are fit for purpose and meet both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations.
To coordinate the activities required to meet quality standards.
To monitor and advise on Company performance and produce data and reports, measuring against set indicators.
Maintenance of the Quality Management System to meet the requirements of ISO 9001
Work towards the accredited implementation of ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems) & ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems)
Manage of the current Health & Safety system. (Atlas)
