This is an outstanding opportunity to join a successful, privately owned mechanical & electrical wholesaler with ambitious growth plans. As Purchasing Manager, you'll play a pivotal role within the senior leadership team, taking ownership of purchasing strategy while transforming systems, processes and supplier performance to support the next phase of the company's journey.

The opportunity

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you'll lead and develop a motivated purchasing team while taking full responsibility for procurement strategy, inventory management, supplier relationships and operational excellence.

You'll have the autonomy to introduce fresh ideas and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, profitability and customer service.

About You

You're an experienced Purchasing Manager or Procurement Manager who combines commercial acumen with a hands-on, proactive approach. You'll bring:

A proven track record of improving purchasing functions and delivering operational efficiencies

Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills

Excellent commercial awareness with strong analytical and financial understanding

The confidence to influence stakeholders and drive positive change
