Project Manager

Working across technically complex projects, the organisation delivers equipment and service solutions designed around the specific requirements of its customers. Your Role and Responsibilities: While in this position your duties may include but may not be limited to:

Working closely with Sales Engineers, customers, suppliers and subcontractors to provide technical advice and develop effective project solutions.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, acting as a trusted technical point of contact throughout projects.

Taking responsibility for the procurement of equipment, materials and subcontractor services associated with projects under your control.

Managing a high volume of inbound and outbound communication with suppliers, sales teams, customers and other project stakeholders.

Communicating complex engineering information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Attending customer sites alongside Sales Engineers and other stakeholders to assess requirements, provide technical advice and produce installation costings and quotations.

Supporting the review and development of new projects, helping to finalise technical designs and commercial requirements before delivery.

Leading project handovers with customers to confirm agreed scope, requirements and delivery timelines.

Producing detailed project plans and identifying and resolving technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinating equipment, parts, engineers and subcontractors to ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved.

Providing ongoing technical support to customers and Sales Engineers throughout project delivery.

Managing the installation and commissioning of industrial cooling systems, ensuring works are completed to the required technical and quality standards.

Managing engineers and site teams, ensuring contractual requirements are met and appropriate health and safety standards are maintained.

Identifying project resources and allocating responsibilities effectively to support successful delivery.

Maintaining financial control of projects, including monitoring budgets, costs and commercial performance.

Reviewing project designs and helping to identify and resolve potential design issues before they impact delivery.

Keeping customers and stakeholders updated throughout each project, adapting priorities and approach where project requirements change.

Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

What You Will Need to Apply

Previous experience within a Project Engineer, Project Management or similar engineering-focused position.

Experience managing projects with a strong commercial element.

Experience within the manufacturing or engineering sector would be advantageous.

An understanding of HVAC, process cooling or industrial cooling systems would be beneficial.

Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

The ability to explain technical engineering information clearly to non-technical audiences.

A positive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.

The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision while taking ownership of assigned projects.

Good financial awareness, including experience with project budgets, costs and commercial considerations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

A full UK driving licence.

Willingness and ability to undertake national travel, with international travel when required.

The right to work in the UK.
