Project Manager - Safety Compliance Improvement

Contract: 12 months Location: Edinburgh (hybrid working)

Harvey Nash's public sector client is seeking an experienced Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery, from procurement through implementation, go-live and handover.

Manage public sector procurement activities, including business case development, tendering, evaluation and contract award.

Develop and maintain robust project plans aligned to PRINCE2, Agile or hybrid methodologies.

Manage suppliers, contracts, budgets, risks, dependencies and programme reporting.

Work closely with digital architecture, business and technical teams to ensure effective system integration.

Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across business, digital, procurement and external suppliers.

Lead and motivate the project team, ensuring clear ownership, planning and delivery.

Essential Experience

Proven delivery of complex IT projects using Waterfall and/or Agile approaches.

Strong public sector procurement experience, including compliance with statutory procurement regulations.

Solid grounding in PRINCE2, Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.

Experience managing third-party suppliers and delivering projects to time, cost and quality.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Ability to work autonomously in a resource-constrained, programme-led environment.

Desirable

Experience delivering compliance, safety, asset management or IMS solutions.

Experience of change, training or communications within transformation programmes.

Relevant project or programme management qualifications.
