Are you a practical Engineer with strong mechanical, electrical, and CAD skills looking for a varied hands-on project role in manufacturing?

Our client is looking for a Project Engineer to plan, manage, and deliver engineering projects that boost manufacturing capability, machinery reliability, quality, and safety on site.

You'll suit this role if you're a proactive problem solver with experience managing site contractors, implementing machinery modifications, and taking projects from concept through to commissioning.

The Role

Leading engineering projects from initial concept through to installation and commissioning Developing technical specifications and CAD drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD Managing site contractors, reviewing RAMS, issuing permits, and ensuring safe working practices Supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for new equipment Driving continuous improvement initiatives (FMEA, RCA) to increase machine uptime and reduce waste Collaborating with NPI/Development teams to support new product tooling, machinery, and trial builds Managing procurement, equipment suppliers, project budgets, and milestone schedules Ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001 and site safety/regulatory standards

The Candidate

HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering Proven track record delivering engineering projects and machinery modifications within a manufacturing environment Proficient in producing and interpreting technical drawings using CAD software Experience managing external contractors, site permits, and capital equipment suppliers *Strong background in Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and continuous improvement practices
