Production Shift Manager Huddersfield Monday – Friday, days/afters £42,000 - £48,000

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to once again be supporting a global specialist manufacturer in Huddersfield to recruit a Production Shift Manager. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a fast-paced business and take charge of driving productivity, quality, H&S and continuous improvement across the shift.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Shift Manager include

Lead and motivate production teams to achieve daily and long-term operational targets

Ensure products are manufactured to the correct specification, quality standards and efficiency levels

Monitor performance data and drive improvements using KPIs

Analyse downtime and work closely with Maintenance to improve equipment performance

Manage labour planning to meet production schedules while controlling costs

Provide clear communication and effective handovers between shifts

Take full responsibility for health and safety on shift, ensuring compliance with policies

Develop, coach and upskill your team

Manage performance, absence, training and all 1 line management responsibilities

Ensure quality systems are followed and maintain an audit-ready environment

Investigate quality issues and implement preventative improvements

Promote and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the shift

We’re looking for Production Shift Managers with the below skills & experience

Experienced in managing large teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Confident developing and coaching individuals to reach their full potential

IOSH Managing Safely qualified (or similar)

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety standards and continuous improvement methodologies

Comfortable working with ERP systems and production data

A clear communicator who can balance strategic thinking with reactive decision-making

Commercially aware, proactive and decisive

A natural leader who takes ownership, drives standards and leads by example

This is a full-time, shift-based role requiring flexibility and occasional overtime to ensure business continuity.
