Your new role As a PrincipalMechanical Engineer, you will join a multidisciplinary design team based inBristol, taking a lead role in the delivery of building services projects frominitial concept through to post-completion evaluation. You will beresponsible for producing detailed mechanical building services designs,including calculations, technical analysis, schematics, specifications,equipment schedules and technical documentation. You will represent thebusiness at client, contractor and design team meetings, building strongprofessional relationships and acting as a trusted technical advisor throughoutthe project lifecycle. In addition toproject delivery, you will support business development activities, mentor andshare knowledge with colleagues, contribute to project reviews and help drivethe continued growth and success of the business. What you'll need to succeed To be successfulin this role, you will have:
Chartered Engineer status with a recognised engineering institution, or be on track to achieve Chartership within the next 12 months
Significant experience designing mechanical building services systems within a consultancy environment.
Strong understanding and practical application of low-carbon and sustainable design principles.
Proven ability to lead projects and manage complex engineering design programmes.
Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Strong commercial awareness and project delivery experience.
Eligibility to work within the UK and excellent written and spoken English.
Experience withinsectors such as residential, commercial, education, leisure, secureenvironments or critical systems would be advantageous, as would exposure toclient management, business development and tender submissions.Experience withindustry-standard software such as IES Virtual Environment, Revit, AutoCAD,Navisworks, SketchUp, Amtech ProDesign and Microsoft Project would also bebeneficial.
