Principal Traffic Engineer

We are currently working with a Local Authority in Bristol who are looking for a Principal Traffic Engineer.

As a traffic Engineer, you will support the property portfolio. This is a hands-on role ensuring safety, compliance and high standards across a diverse range of assets.

Duration: Until December

Rate: £50 per hour, Inside IR35

Site presence: Hybrid

Role Details

• Represent the Area Engineering team in the delivery of projects and programmes being delivered by both the Strategic City Transport service but also other services and teams with the wider Transport Services and Council

• Provide guidance, mentoring, support and technical advice to officers within the Area Engineering team in order to help them deliver successful outcomes for the team and the wider service

• Design and deliver projects and services in accordance with the service and division work plans, to time and budget and in accordance with any planning/development brief

• Manage allocated projects and services to provide and update business plans and financial forecast on a monthly basis

Experience

• Educated to degree level

• Experience of monitoring and managing capital and revenue budgets

• Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation appropriate to the Transport Service

• Demonstrable applied knowledge and understanding of Traffic Engineering and Traffic Regulation Order procedures

• AutoCAD, KeyLines, KeySign, Digital TRO software or similar
