Prepare and process partner payments in line with partnership agreements, issuing reconciliation reports and paying on receipt of valid invoices.
Work with the credit control team to ensure timely invoicing and debt recovery.
Produce monthly management accounts for the partnerships unit and present them, with analysis and recommendations, to its Director.
Business partner the unit through monthly budget meetings, keeping budgets and forecasts accurate and up to date throughout the year.
Support the costing of new partnerships and the preparation of business cases.
Act as the central finance contact for partner institutions in the UK and overseas, and for colleagues across Registry, Quality, Legal and other departments.
Assist with tax matters relating to partnerships, including information for HMRC enquiries, and support audit and year end reporting.
Refine and streamline partnership reporting and financial processes so they scale efficiently as new partners come on board.
Deputise for your line manager when required and provide wider management accounting support across the university.

Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management accounts experience within a finance team.
Strong reconciliation skills and a sharp eye for data accuracy.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
A continuous improvement mindset, with examples of streamlining processes.
Confidence to build relationships with non finance stakeholders, ask the right questions and challenge constructively.
A proactive, independent and organised approach, with real hunger to learn and progress.
Part qualified or studying CIMA or ACCA is desirable. Commercial or private sector experience is very welcome and brings a valued fresh perspective.
