We’re looking for a Portfolio Delivery Manager to join our Data team and play a key role in driving successful delivery across one of our Data domains.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to combine hands-on project management while also taking a broader view of delivery, helping teams navigate priorities, manage dependencies and provide the insight needed to keep delivery on track.
You'll work at the heart of one of our Data domains, partnering with Senior Product and Engineering leaders, Product Managers, Data Engineering Managers and Architecture, to ensure projects are delivered successfully and business outcomes are achieved.
This role operates on a hybrid working model, with a requirement to attend our Leeds office three days per week.
Whether your background is in Data, Technology or Digital delivery, if you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy bringing structure, visibility and momentum to complex projects, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
As Portfolio Delivery Manager, you'll play a dual role, leading projects whilst also providing delivery oversight across your wider Data domain.
1. Managing projects within your domain
Leading Data projects end-to-end, delivering to time, cost and quality.
Managing project plans, budgets, resources, RAID, dependencies and governance.
Providing clear stakeholder reporting and driving actions and decisions to keep delivery on track.
Taking ownership of smaller delivery activities outside normal squad delivery, driving them through to completion.
2. Providing delivery & operational oversight across your domain
Maintaining oversight of time, cost and quality across the whole domain, including projects, product squad delivery, maintenance and run, resources and budgets.
Partnering with Product, Engineering and Architecture to understand overall domain performance, priorities, risks and dependencies.
Identifying and coordinating domain-level risks, dependencies and blockers, driving action where required.
Overseeing domain financials, forecasts and resource requirements, ensuring impacts on delivery are understood and visible.
Coordinating resource, supplier and commercial activity with relevant partner teams.
Supporting the assessment and scoping of new demand, considering existing priorities, capacity and commitments.
Providing clear reporting and insight to support domain and Data leadership decision-making.
What we're looking for
Strong Project Management experience within Technology, Digital or Data environments
Experience managing budgets, forecasting costs and understanding commercial impacts
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge effectively
Experience working within Agile delivery environments
The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on delivery outcomes
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
A proactive, collaborative approach and the confidence to drive progress and make decisions
It would be great if you also have
Experience working directly within Data or Analytics
Exposure to portfolio management, resource planning or financial forecasting
Experience supporting supplier, vendor or commercial management activities
Knowledge of Data Engineering, Data Platforms or Data Transformation programmes
You'll be joining a team that is helping shape the future of Data across the business, working on large-scale initiatives that deliver real value and business impact.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, influence strategic priorities and play a key role in ensuring successful delivery across a complex and evolving Data landscape.
