As a Lead, Policy and Procedure, you'll sit within Tide's Ongoing Monitoring function and take ownership of the design, drafting, and ongoing maintenance of our financial crime policies and procedures — covering AML, counter-terrorist financing, sanctions, fraud, and anti-bribery and corruption.
Working at a senior level, you'll partner closely with senior stakeholders across Compliance, Risk, and Operations to make sure our policy framework stays current with UK regulatory expectations (FCA rules, the Money Laundering Regulations, and JMLSG guidance) and reflects how the business actually operates. You'll also play a key role in maintaining the wider financial crime control framework, translating policy requirements into practical, well-governed controls, and supporting risk management across our financial crime operations.
This is a role for someone who enjoys precision and structure, but who can also see the bigger picture — balancing regulatory rigor with commercial pragmatism in a fast-growing, member-first fintech.
Owning the end-to-end lifecycle of Tide's Ongoing Monitoring crime policies and procedures — drafting, reviewing, version control, approvals, and periodic reviews.
Designing and maintaining the Ongoing Monitoring control framework, ensuring controls are clearly mapped to policy requirements and regulatory obligations. Monitoring regulatory developments (FCA, HM Treasury, OFSI, JMLSG and other relevant bodies) and translating changes into timely policy and procedure updates.
Partnering with Ongoing Monitoring Operations & Product Teams, Second Line of Defence, and Risk teams to ensure policies are operationally workable and embedded in day-to-day practice.
Supporting internal audits, regulatory examinations, and assurance reviews with policy documentation, control evidence, and subject matter expertise.
Conducting gap analyses against new or changed regulation and guidance, and coordinating remediation where policy updates are needed.
Providing SME guidance to the business on policy requirements. Contributing to the wider risk management framework across financial crime operations, including risk assessments.
Building strong working relationships across first and second line teams to ensure consistent application of policy.
Significant experience in financial crime compliance, with a focus on policy, procedure, or control framework design within a UK-regulated bank, payments firm, or fintech.
Strong working knowledge of the UK financial crime regulatory framework, including FCA requirements, the Money Laundering Regulations 2017, and JMLSG guidance.
