The role
Reporting to the Director of People Operations, Reward and People Partnering, the People Advisor will play a key role in creating a high performing and inclusive employee experience. You will be a trusted point of contact for employees and managers across the business, support key People team initiatives, help resolve global employee relations issues and promote best practice in line with our Company Values.
This role exists to create real capacity within the People Partnering team — enabling our Senior People Partners and People Relations Partner to focus on strategic, high-impact work, while you ensure the foundations are consistently excellent. It’s an ideal role for someone who is passionate about people, takes pride in getting things right, and is ready to grow their HR career in a fast-paced, global fintech.
What excites you
Being the Go-To: You will act as a key point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers, triaging with good judgement and resolving where you can. You will look to drive improvements across our employee and manager self-serve capabilities in order to support our HR operating model.
Supporting People Partners: You will provide hands-on support to the three Senior People Partners and the People Relations Partner, helping them deliver across performance, retention, ER and people initiatives in their business groups. You will ensure data is accurate and supporting materials are available and effective.
Employee Relations Support: You will help to resolve ER matters with care and consistency, escalating more complex cases to the People Relations Partner where required. You will offer advice and coach managers in order to build manager capability.
Supporting our HR operating model: You will contribute to the development of HR processes, templates and toolkits that make the People team’s work more scalable and consistent, and support the rollout of people initiatives across the business.
Connecting the Dots: You will collaborate with colleagues across the People team to ensure a joined-up, coherent employee experience at every touchpoint using data to help evidence-based decision making.
What excites us
HR Experience: You have demonstrable experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant or junior HR Advisor role, ideally within a scaling, fast-paced business — and a solid understanding of the full employee lifecycle.
Employment Law Knowledge: You have a working knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application day-to-day, and you keep yourself up to date with changes and best practice. Knowledge of employment law in other geographies is preferable but not essential.
Organised and Detail-Oriented: You are highly organised, manage competing priorities with ease, and take real pride in accuracy.
A Strong Communicator: You are clear and confident in your communication — written and verbal — and can build trust quickly with people at all levels of the business.
Pragmatic and People-Focused: You are solutions-oriented and genuinely care about doing the right thing for employees, while keeping scalable processes and business needs in mind.
Collaborative by Nature: You’re a team player who invests in the success of the wider People function and builds strong relationships across the business.
Growth Mindset: A cu
