Payroll Manager

KC Group are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation within the support services sector, seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join their finance team on a full-time temporary to permanent basis. Based in the Birmingham area, hybrid working is available and a flexible start time of 8:00am/ 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function within a fast-paced business environment. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll operations are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with current legislation.

Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager role Includes

Managing the end-to-end payroll process for a large workforce

Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and to strict deadlines

Maintaining compliance with HMRC regulations and payroll legislation

Managing statutory payments, pensions and deductions

Reconciling payroll reports and resolving payroll queries

Producing payroll-related reporting and analysis for senior management

Leading process improvements and maintaining payroll controls

Liaising with finance, HR and external stakeholders as required

Supporting audits and compliance activities

To be considered for the Payroll Manager role

Previous experience in a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll position

Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements

Experience managing high-volume payrolls

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Confident using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel

Strong communication skills with the ability to work across departments

Available to start at short notice

Key Information about the Payroll Manager role Includes

Competitive hourly rate of £20.50 - £25.64 per hour
