Job Description
As Paraplanning Manager, you will have experience and competency dealing with complex Paraplanning work and oversee and supervise a small team of Paraplanners and Trainee Paraplanners.
Key duties
An important element of the role is as a Paraplanner, but on a reduced scale/reduced workload. This is to ensure you keep up to date with products, product providers and knowledge.
Be first point of contact for service issues, complaints or difficult situations that may present themselves within the team.
In conjunction with Induction Training Plan and Technical Manager, oversee training of new joiners to the Team. Until new joiners to the Team become established Paraplanners with their own Adviser and Client Relationships, be point of contact for incoming work into the Team where needed.
Hold regular monthly meetings with the Team, in order to discuss workloads, team success, areas for improvement, new procedures and new provider updates etc.
Hold regular 1:1 meetings with each individual team member and conduct annual appraisals each year.
Oversee basic HR for the team, such as but not limited to, absence management, time management, performance management, and escalate to Technical Manager where further support is required.
Ensure Team adhere to a clear desk policy and work is locked away for GDPR purposes.
Measure quality of work completed by the Team for both new and existing clients on Triage, Suitability Reports and File Reviews.
Measure quality of work produced in Suitability Reports and on Intelligent Office (IO) for accuracy and level of detail in connection with above (new and existing clients). Such as but not limited to, client data and IO Task Management.
Monitor record keeping on Papercloud, at a personal level and at team level.
Produce MI/KPI information to Technical Manager on both the level of work coming into the Team and the level of work being produced by the Team.
Individual Team Member KPI information produced on a regular basis to count towards team’s annual review process, in areas of quantity, and quality.
Adhere to FCA regulations in accordance with our compliance procedures.
Consumer Duty and TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) – pay due regard to the interests of our clients and treat them fairly in line with our TCF Mission Statement.
Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience at a Senior Paraplanner level.
Diploma 4 qualified ideally Chartered Status or working towards desirable but not essential.
Broad knowledge in all product areas.
Experience of dealing with complex cases.
Intermediate ICT skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook and be able to establish, maintain and update databases accurately.
Good knowledge of Intelliflo.
Experience of supervising a small team, desirable but not essential.
