Operations Manager - Fulfilment & Warehouse Up to £50,000 per annum + benefits Chippenham, Wiltshire Permanent

Are you an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in fulfilment, logistics or warehouse operations?

We're working with a successful and growing organisation that is looking for a results-driven Operations Manager to take responsibility for its Outbound Operations function. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for managing a team of around 10 permanent employees, alongside agency workers during peak periods, while driving operational efficiency, service quality and continuous improvement.

The role will include

Leading and developing the Outbound Operations team

Managing an annual departmental budget of approximately £600k

Monitoring KPIs, SLAs and operational performance

Developing and improving SOPs covering inventory, fulfilment and quality control

Managing stock accuracy, segregation and client ownership controls

Supporting new client onboarding, product introductions and stock transitions

Recruiting, coaching, mentoring and managing team members

Ensuring compliance with health & safety, legislation and company policies

Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service and operational performance

About you

Experience within a 3PL fulfilment, logistics or shared warehouse environment

Strong understanding of inventory management, stock accuracy and client ownership controls

Experience managing SLAs, KPIs and client performance reporting

Proven project management experience, ideally within an operational or warehouse environment

Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills

Experience of continuous improvement and process optimisation

Confident leading, coaching and developing a team

IOSH Level 2 or equivalent qualification

A proactive, results-driven approach with the ability to take ownership and drive operational performance
