Job Description About the role
The Operational Planning Manager has overall accountability for the leadership and implementation of the plan for the network. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering KRA’s and operating standards, underpinned by the people plan whilst maintaining legal compliance.
Our warehouses are at the heart of our business: after all, this is where we pick, sort and deliver all the goods our customers want. They operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so the planning that goes into them is vital if they're to run like clockwork. You'll work closely with a number of stakeholders to develop and implement plans and forecasts to maximise efficiency.
· Be obsessed about our purpose and our customers in line with our online proposition
· Deliver commercial targets by leading the team to implement the commercial agenda
· Work with your team to deliver the people plan for the function
· Drive a high-performance culture through communication and engagement
· Lead the compliance agenda and execute any appropriate action plans
· Utilise MI/data to identify trends, and use this proactively to make data-led decisions and invest resources where it matters most

About You
You’ll have the ability to drive a high-performance culture and hold your team to account. You will possess a flexible and agile mindset, along with a drive to continuously learn and improve. You’ll be a strong leader, able to influence at all levels and deliver change in complex and ambiguous environments. An understanding and curiosity in the external market is also key to be successful in this role.

Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
