Musselburgh, Edinburgh | 35 hours per week | Ongoing Temporary Contract £14.00 – £16.00 per hour
Reed is recruiting on behalf of a well-established technology organisation based in Edinburgh.
Our client is a global business operating within the engineering and technology sector and offers a collaborative, professional working environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and approachable Office Administrator to support a busy design office and play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the site.
The Role
Reporting into the Office Manager, you will act as the first point of contact for the office and provide wide-ranging administrative and facilities support. This is a varied, hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys supporting people, managing multiple tasks and keeping an office running efficiently.
This position is offered as an ongoing temporary contract, with the potential for long-term stability for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Acting as first point of contact for staff, visitors and delivery drivers
Managing reception and meeting room areas, ensuring they are tidy and well stocked
Coordinating site maintenance schedules and liaising with external suppliers
Arranging domestic and international shipments and managing courier systems
Supporting invoice checks and vendor onboarding processes
Assisting with health & safety documentation, COSHH and risk assessments
Supporting wellbeing initiatives and organising local office events
Ordering office, kitchen and cleaning supplies and maintaining stock levels
Maintaining accurate digital records using internal systems such as SharePoint
Providing general administrative support as required
About You
Previous experience in an office administration or similar role
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident communicator with a professional manner
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Teams and SharePoint
Reliable, discreet and adaptable in a busy office environment
Desirable but not essential
Experience supporting health & safety processes
Familiarity with procurement or finance systems
