Newly Qualified Commercial Accountant / Runcorn / Salary £45,000 - £55,000

Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing, privately-owned construction business in the search for a Newly Qualified Commercial Accountant to join their finance team.

Following a recent period of transformation and investment, the business is entering an exciting new chapter and is looking for a commercially-minded finance professional who wants to make a genuine impact.

This is far more than a traditional reporting role. You'll work closely with senior leadership, providing key financial insight, supporting strategic decision-making, and helping drive improvements across finance and operational processes.

The Role

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

Your role will be a true blend of management accounting and finance business partnering. You will support the team with the production of monthly management accounts and board reporting.

Lead as finance business partner across your designated business units, where you will liaise with operational and commercial teams to drive commercial insights and support decision-making

Cash flow forecasting and working capital management

Financial analysis and performance reporting across projects and business units

Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function

Developing and strengthening financial controls and processes

Providing commercial insight to support future growth plans

About You

We're looking for an ambitious and proactive finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, operational environment.

Newly Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA

Previous experience within the construction sector (or similar) is desirable

Strong management accounting and business partnering experience

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

A commercial mindset and hands-on approach

The confidence to challenge, influence and drive positive change
