About The Role FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a .NET Software Developer to work for our client within the Public Sector sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London,Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Newcastle.
Our client is seeking a Mid-Senior .NET Software Developer to maintain and enhance a critical Investment Programme platform supporting government housing investment schemes. Working across modern .NET applications, Dynamics 365 integrations and cloud-based services, you will help deliver high-quality, user-centred digital services while contributing to technical design, code quality, security and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop, maintain and enhance .NET applications, domain services and Dynamics 365 integrations supporting key business processes.
Build accessible, user-focused web applications using ASP.NET Core MVC, Razor Views and GOV.UK Design System components
Design and implement business functionality using CQRS, Domain-Driven Design principles and workflow state machines.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, integration failures and data inconsistencies.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts and wider technology teams while mentoring junior developers and contributing to code reviews.
About You
Strong commercial experience developing applications using C#, .NET 8 and ASP.NET Core MVC.
Experience with CQRS, MediatR, Domain-Driven Design, dependency injection and modern software architecture practices.
Proven experience developing and consuming REST APIs, working with integrations and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications.
Experience writing automated unit and integration tests using xUnit and FluentAssertions.
Strong understanding of Git, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, application security, authentication and authorisation principles.
Experience with or knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Azure DevOps, Azure-hosted services, Application Insights, Redis and TypeScript is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to deliver work independently and collaboratively.
