As a Manager within the Force For Good Business Implementation team, you will play a key role in embedding sustainability across the business and supporting the delivery of Aldi's sustainability strategy. The team is responsible for the national implementation of sustainability initiatives, ensuring adherence to internal and external policies and processes, and maintaining compliance with sustainability regulations through both direct action and effective stakeholder engagement.
This is a broad and varied role requiring an individual who can confidently manage multiple priorities, navigate different subject areas, and collaborate across functions to drive sustainable business outcomes. You will work closely with international and GB/IE teams to deliver mandatory sustainability reporting, monitor regulatory developments, coordinate stakeholders, and communicate sustainability strategy effectively throughout the business.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader with experience of driving performance, delegating effectively, and empowering teams to work autonomously. They will also have a proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, balance competing business priorities, and implement regulatory requirements across a wide range of functions.
This role is a 12-month FTC to start October 2026.

Your New Role • Support the international central team and GB/IE businesses in delivering mandatory sustainability reporting requirements. • Monitor emerging sustainability legislation and regulatory developments, assessing their impact on the business and supporting implementation activities. • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective delivery of sustainability objectives. • Communicate sustainability strategies, policies, and requirements across the business, ensuring understanding and alignment. • Lead, develop, and empower team members, driving high performance through effective delegation and coaching. • Ensure compliance with sustainability standards, policies, and regulatory requirements through robust processes and controls. • Provide sustainability guidance and support to suppliers, ensuring adherence to Aldi standards and policies. • Utilise Aldi product and supplier approval systems to maintain compliance and support efficient operational processes. • Work closely with Buying teams to ensure sustainability policies and processes are understood and followed, minimising delays within the PAS to CTS process. • Collaborate with the Force For Good Systems Change team to align activity, avoid duplication of effort, and streamline communication channels. • Drive the integration of sustainability across business functions, embedding sustainable practices into operational decision-making. • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including the Senior Leadership Team. • Balance competing departmental priorities and recommend solutions that deliver the best outcome for Aldi. • Lead the communication and implementation of sustainability initiatives and regulatory requirements across the business. • Manage financial planning activities, monitor budgets, and track expenditure in line with company processes and controls. • Maintain accurate records and reporting, demonstrating strong attention to detail and knowledge of Aldi systems and processes.
About You Essential: •Experience of working within Sustainability and sustainability regulatory compliance management •Management experience •Experience with certification schemes, evidence of schemes (certificates) and license fee payments •Financial planning •Effective leadership, motivation and people management •Strong attention to detail •Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint •Strong communication skills •A strong level of resilience and the ability to operate under pressure •Intellectually curious and takes initiative •Strategic thinker – able to consider and present multiple solutions to resolve challenges •Stakeholder management across multiple disciplines and internationally
Desirable: •Working knowledge of EUDR, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, CSDDD, EMPCO, UK CMA Green Claims Code, UK Sustainability reporting standards and assurance, UK Modern Slavery Act, UK government reformulation targets, CFD, ISO 50001, SECR, ESOS and CCF data collection
