Media Business Analyst
Contract: Initial 6 months
Location: London - Hybrid (3 days onsite, Thursday anchor day)
Daily Rate: Inside IR35
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Media Business Analyst to join a major transformation programme focused on modernising and monetising video production and content distribution capabilities for one of the world's most respected media organisations. This role is crucial in shaping the future across production facilities, content workflows, media asset management, editing, archiving, distribution, and monetisation.
Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements across media production and content distribution workflows.
Create detailed As-Is and To-Be process maps.
Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
Produce business process documentation, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Support business case development and solution evaluation.
Analyse and optimise end-to-end content supply chains.
Support design of workflows covering content ingest, production, post-production, asset management, storage, distribution, and archiving.
Identify opportunities for workflow automation and operational efficiencies.
Build relationships across Editorial, Technology, Commercial, Data Privacy, and Operations teams.
Navigate a complex stakeholder landscape, facilitating decision-making across multiple business functions.
Drive communication and alignment throughout project delivery.
Work closely with product, engineering, and delivery teams throughout implementation.
Support UAT planning and execution.
Ensure delivered solutions meet operational and business requirements.
Help drive adoption of new tools and ways of working.
5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst with a strong business analysis background.
Significant experience in the media industry, supporting broadcasters, publishers, news organisations, streaming providers, production companies, or post-production environments.
Good understanding of media production workflows, post-production processes, Media Asset Management (MAM), Production Asset Management (PAM), digital content distribution, metadata management, video editing workflows, content storage, and archive strategies.
Experience with digital transformation projects, ideally involving cloud migration programmes, modernisation of media production platforms, and migration from on-premise to cloud-native workflows.
Experience with technologies such as LucidLink, Iconik, Adobe production environments, or similar platforms is advantageous.
Excellent requirements gathering, documentation skills, and strong process modelling experience.
Workshop facilitation and stakeholder management expertise.
Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
Proactive and self-starting, comfortable operating with limited direction.
A confident stakeholder manager, strong at building consensus across diverse groups.
Commercially aware, collaborative, and pragmatic.
Comfortable challenging and influencing where required.
Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
