Management Accountant

We are delighted to be recruiting a permanent Management Accountant for a large, ambitious public sector organisation. Key responsibilities

Deliver accurate and timely budgets, management accounts, and forecasts

Work closely with service managers and budget holders to support decision-making, contracts, and purchasing

Contribute to the annual budget-setting process and longer-term financial planning

Assist with audits, VAT returns, reconciliations, and statutory reporting

Support the integration of new projects or service areas into the organisation, including staff training

Build strong and trusted relationships with operational teams through regular engagement and visits

We are seeking someone who

Has proven experience in management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

Brings strong business partnering skills and can explain finance clearly to non-specialists

Is confident in building relationships, managing competing priorities, and influencing senior stakeholders

Ideally holds (or is working towards) AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, though experience is equally valued

Is personable, proactive, resilient, and a strong team player with a positive approach
