Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Location: Birmingham Contract: Fixed-Term Contract

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on a fixed-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a successful and growing organisation, supporting key business decisions through the delivery of accurate financial reporting, analysis, and insight.

Working within a collaborative finance function, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and stakeholder support, helping to drive financial performance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Produce monthly management accounts and accompanying commentary.

Prepare and analyse financial performance reports, highlighting key variances and trends.

Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.

Deliver meaningful financial insights to support business decision-making.

Assist with cashflow forecasting and financial planning activities.

Work closely with operational and non-finance stakeholders to understand performance drivers.

Maintain and improve financial controls and reporting processes.

Support month-end and year-end close activities.

Assist with audit requirements and compliance-related activities.

Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess

ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification (or be actively studying towards qualification).

Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.

Strong management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting experience.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Advanced Excel capabilities and confidence working with financial systems.

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

The ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
