Location: Manchester (Hybrid Working) Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Robert Half Finance & Accounting is delighted to be partnering with an established and fast-growing technology business to recruit a Management Accountant.

Having built a strong reputation within its market over a number of years, the business is now entering an exciting phase of growth and expansion. As a result, they are looking to strengthen their finance team with the addition of a Management Accountant who will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or finalist (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) accountant looking to join a collaborative SME environment where they can take ownership of the month-end process, work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to the ongoing development of the finance function.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Director, key responsibilities will include

Ownership of the end-to-end monthly management accounts process

Preparing monthly management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary

Posting journals, accruals and prepayments

Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger

Producing variance analysis against budgets and forecasts

Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes

Supporting cash flow reporting and financial planning

Business partnering with departmental managers to provide financial insight and support decision-making

Assisting with year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements

Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting as the business continues to grow

The Candidate

The successful candidate will

Be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or in the final stages of qualification

Have recent experience producing end-to-end management accounts

Be confident preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations

Have strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders

Be proactive and enjoy working within a growing SME environment

Have excellent Excel skills and experience working with finance systems

Be able to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced business
