Management Accountant

Management Accountant Location: Harrogate Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Working Pattern: Hybrid working available (3 days in the office, 2 from home)

Robert Half is delighted to be partnering with a highly successful and growing business in Harrogate to recruit a qualified Management Accountant.

The company is looking for an ambitious and commercially minded finance professional who can play a key role in supporting financial reporting, improving processes, and providing valuable insight to aid decision-making across the business.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with strong management accounting experience and the confidence to work closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Key responsibilities:

Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts

Leading the month-end close process

Posting and reviewing journals, accruals and prepayments

Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls

Producing detailed variance analysis with meaningful commentary

Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning

Preparing and analysing KPI reports to support business performance

Business partnering with budget holders and operational stakeholders

Assisting with year-end accounts and audit preparation

Supporting continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting

Providing financial insight and recommendations to support strategic decision-making

Mentoring junior members of the finance team where required

About you

Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)

Proven experience in a Management Accountant role or similar

Strong technical accounting knowledge and management reporting experience

Commercially aware, proactive and confident working with stakeholders across the business

Strong Excel skills and experience working with finance systems

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
