Management Accountant

We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join a fast-paced, growing business on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational stakeholders and providing meaningful financial insight to support business performance.

Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will take ownership of the management accounts process, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and play a key role in driving continuous improvement across financial reporting and controls. Key Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts with supporting commentary.

Production of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reports.

Month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments and journals.

Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances.

Support budget and forecasting processes across multiple departments.

Analyse financial performance and provide insight to senior stakeholders.

Monitor key business metrics, profitability and margin performance.

Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital reporting.

Partner with operational teams to support decision-making and cost control.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

Support year-end audit requirements and statutory reporting.

Assist with ad-hoc reporting, analysis and finance projects.

About You

Part-qualified, studying, or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).

Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role.

Strong month-end and management accounts experience.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret data.

Confident communicating with stakeholders across the business.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Desirable

Experience of working within a high-volume transactional environment.

Exposure to stock, inventory or product-based businesses.

Experience using ERP systems and BI reporting tools.

Previous involvement in process improvement initiatives
