Management Accountant

Reed is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Management Accountant to join a small, fast-paced finance team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, growing organisation and taking ownership of core finance processes.

You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations and assisting with month-end processes, helping to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial control.

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (pro rata, depending on experience) Hours: 21–28 hours per week Contract: 6-month fixed term (potential to become permanent) Location: Edinburgh Reporting to: Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Processes: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations

Revenue Accounting: Calculate deferred and accrued revenue accurately

Reconciliations: Perform timely reconciliation of customer payments within accounting systems

Invoicing: Create and manage customer invoices using billing platforms

Credit Control: Proactively manage credit control and support cash collection activities

Ledger Management: Maintain purchase ledger and process supplier invoices

Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide additional support as required within the finance function

Skills & Experience

Essential

Part-qualified, fully qualified, or qualified by experience accountant

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines

Highly organised with strong time management skills

Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
