Management Accountant

Working closely with the Leeds Finance Manager, you'll support the manufacturing and procurement teams, providing accurate financial analysis and insight to help improve site performance. This is a great opportunity for a finance professional with previous manufacturing experience who enjoys working closely with operational teams and using financial data to drive performance and improvement.

Michael Page Finance is partnering with a well-established international manufacturing business to recruit a Management Accountant for its Leeds operation.

Description

Support month-end and year-end close, including accruals and reconciliations.

Analyse financial performance against budget and identify trends and variances.

Provide recommendations to improve financial and operational performance.

Support budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning activities.

Review financial data and investigate fluctuations or anomalies.

Process and review supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals.

Reconcile supplier statements and support accounts payable activities.

Produce regular financial and management reports.

Gather and present financial information, analysis and recommendations to stakeholders.

Profile

Previous experience in a Management Accounting role within manufacturing.

Strong understanding of financial and management accounting.

Experience producing management information and analysing performance.

Strong Excel and financial systems skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

The ability to analyse data and communicate financial insight clearly.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

A proactive approach with the confidence to identify issues and recommend improvements.

A relevant finance/accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
