Reporting to a Divisional Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of the monthly management accounts for a portfolio of business units, ensuring accurate reporting and providing valuable financial insight to support commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules in line with reporting deadlines. Produce variance analysis, identifying key trends, risks and opportunities. Support the budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning process. Ensure stock and inventory reconciliations are completed accurately, including supporting periodic stock counts where required. Build strong relationships with operational managers, providing financial guidance and support. Ensure compliance with financial controls, company policies and statutory requirements. Assist with year-end accounts, audit preparation and balance sheet integrity. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and controls. Support wider finance projects as the business continues to grow.
About You
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience. Excellent Excel and finance systems knowledge. Experience working within a multi-site business would be advantageous. Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business. Proactive, organised and commercially minded.
