Management Accountant - Fintech

Management Accountant – Regulated Fintech London | £45,000–£55,000 | Hybrid – 3 days in the office

Absolute Recruit is partnering with a regulated fintech in London to recruit a Management Accountant. This is an opportunity to build on your month-end experience, contribute to business decisions and help improve financial processes within a regulated environment.

You’ll support the delivery of accurate management information, working closely with colleagues across finance and the wider business to understand performance and maintain strong financial controls.

The role

Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and journals.

Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

Produce variance analysis and commentary to explain financial performance.

Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.

Work with budget holders to monitor costs and understand spending.

Support year-end audit preparation and regulatory reporting requirements.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting.

About you

Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant, studying towards or having completed ACCA, CIMA or ACA.

Experience in management accounts preparation and month-end reporting.

Experience working in a Fintech or regulated business.

Strong Excel skills, with confidence handling and interpreting financial data.

A proactive approach to resolving issues and improving how things are done.

Clear communication skills and the ability to build relationships beyond finance.

The role offers a salary of £45,000–£55,000, with three days per week in the London office, strong bonus structure and private healthcare.
