Management Accountant
Salary: Up to £35k Location: Pontefract Type: 3 Month Contract
We are working with a well-established business based in Pontefract who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 3 month contract.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to step into a varied role and provide support across the wider finance function.
The Role
Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting financial reporting.
Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.
Preparing and posting journals, including accruals and prepayments.
Providing financial analysis and commentary to support business decisions.
Supporting with budgeting and forecasting activity.
Assisting with month-end processes and ensuring deadlines are met.
Producing ad hoc financial reports and analysis as required.
Working closely with colleagues across the wider business to provide accurate financial information.
About You
We're looking for a Management Accountant with strong management accounting experience who can quickly settle into a new environment and hit the ground running.
Previous experience working in a management accounting role.
Strong month-end and management accounts experience.
Good knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and journals.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
The ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
Good communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.
