Logistics Coordinator

Annual Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Location: Liverpool

Job Type: Full-time

Join a leading facility in the import and distribution of bulk minerals and chemicals as a Logistics Coordinator. This role is crucial for managing a growing customer base and ensuring efficient operations.

Day-to-day of the role

Liaise with customers, forwarders, clearing agents, and the on-site team to meet customer requirements and manage expectations effectively.

Process orders and manage deliveries in and out of the site, ensuring the demand is manageable.

Work closely with the sales manager and the team to achieve common targets and goals.

Cover for colleagues in other specialist areas during seasonal fluctuations and holiday periods.

Handle customs paperwork, negotiate and procure goods and services, and organise shipping/transport.

Raise invoices and ensure all necessary paperwork is passed to the Finance team in an orderly manner.

Maintain up-to-date paper and electronic records and filing systems.

Complete reports as required and liaise with the sales and Finance teams.

Ensure QA compliance in line with company procedures and regulated standards.

Use SAP and other ERP systems accurately and competently.

Actively contribute to team meetings to improve working methods and efficiencies.

Undertake any other duties as reasonably required by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial logistics or operations administration.

Strong commercial understanding and awareness.

Excellent communication skills, with confidence in handling customer and supplier queries over the telephone.

Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Strong administration and organisational skills to manage workload and paperwork effectively.

High level of numeracy and computer literacy, with solid experience using ERP systems (preferably SAP), MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Team player with a "can-do" attitude, willing to assist colleagues and contribute to the team's success.

Competitive salary range of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
