Legal Counsel Employment Law International Markets

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Fully Qualified Spanish Lawyer to join our People Team as an Employment Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal advice to the organization on all employment-related aspects of our business in Spain and other international markets. This role will support our business while ensuring compliance with EU and Spanish regulations, and other relevant international employment laws. You will collaborate with our People team, senior management and relevant other business leaders as well as our employee representatives to develop pragmatic solutions and manage employment-related risks effectively.

In this Role, You Will

Provide Expert Advice: Provide expert legal advice on Spanish employment law, including hiring, termination, contracts, collective bargaining agreements, works council matters, social security regulations, and other related topics.

Support International Employment Matters: Offer guidance and support on employment law matters in other international markets, such as Italy, France and Netherlands as needed, working with local counsel when necessary.

Collaborate with our employee representations, such SEC in France or our SE Works Councils.

Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, and proactively identify and mitigate legal risks.

Manage Employment Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, severance agreements, and other employment-related contracts.

Handle Disputes: Manage and resolve employment-related disputes, including litigation, mediation, and negotiations.

Develop Policies: Develop and implement internal policies and procedures related to employment law.

Conduct Training: Provide training and education to the People team and management on relevant employment law topics.

Coordinate External Counsel: Coordinate with and manage external legal counsel when necessary.

Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic legal advice to the Peo
