Legal Counsel Data Privacy

About the opportunity N26 is looking for a Legal Counsel Data Privacy to further expand the Data Privacy Team in our ‘Beyond Banking Team.’ You will primarily advise on data protection legal issues, as well as artificial intelligence related legal topics. You will independently review and negotiate contracts and work closely with your manager to ensure compliance with legal regulations. In this role, you will advise various N26 teams from a data protection law perspective, including our product team, and have the opportunity to contribute to product design. Additionally, you will not only provide legal advice to various internal stakeholders but also review data protection contracts and regularly participate in contract negotiations with external parties. As part of our international expansion, you will independently collaborate with our Local Counsel network. In this role, you will: You will work in our ‘Beyond Banking Law’ Team and have the exciting opportunity to gain experience in data protection law, as well as at the implementation of the AI Act, at a continuously growing and regulated company. The focus of your work will be the legal review of various issues related to data protection, as well as the negotiation of contracts of various kinds in close collaboration with different company stakeholders, external companies, and law firms. You will independently handle legal questions related to national and European data protection law. In doing so, you will identify and assess data protection and business risks, create solution strategies, and creatively assist in their implementation. You will advise the product team on data protection issues, especially concerning compliance with data protection regulations, as well as AI related legal requirements.
