Lead Product Manager
L ead Product Manager Location : Manchester Hybrid Salary : £65,00,000 - £75,000 We are seeking a Lead Product Manager (Data) to join a rapi…
Overview We're looking for a strategic, hands-on Lead Product Manager to own and evolve our Profile Platform, a core part of the Chambers product ecosystem and the primary way customers turn recognition into commercial opportunity. From firm, department and individual profiles to the tools that help customers benchmark performance, strengthen their market position and win work, you'll define the direction for a product area with a direct impact on customer value and business growth.
Reporting to the Product Director, you'll own strategy, discovery and delivery, bringing together customer insight, commercial thinking and strong product judgement to make confident decisions in complex and ambiguous spaces. As a senior individual contributor, you'll set the standard for product craft, influence across the business, and help elevate the capability of those around you. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Own the Profile Platform and chambers.com - Take ownership of chambers.com and Profile Platform — our core commercial platform — and its role in helping customers turn recognition into results.
Discovery - Apply modern discovery techniques (customer engagement, experimentation, prototyping, data) to identify opportunities that are valuable, viable, usable, and feasible, and to de-risk them before building.
Delivery & Product Development - Lead a cross-functional squad — engineering, design, research, and beyond — to deliver high-quality product outcomes on a credible cadence.
Prioritisation – Prioritise the most important work in a busy portfolio, highlighting essential trade offs and putting forward recommendations
Communication, Leadership & Coaching - operate confidently amid ambiguity: set direction where none yet exists, and make well-reasoned calls on incomplete information.
Why you should apply This is a role with unusual scope for its level. Rather than owning a slice of someone else's platform, you'll own the Profile Platform — the commercial core of Chambers and the primary way our customers turn hard-won recognition into won work. The decisions you make are felt directly by ranked firms and lawyers across the global legal market, and directly in the commercial performance of the business.
If you're a senior product person who's tired of narrow remits, slow decision-making, and being one of hundreds, this is the opposite of that:
Discovery and delivery. You'll get to do the whole craft well: framing the right problems, testing and killing ideas, and shipping high-quality product that moves the numbers. Both halves matter here.
Genuinely interesting problems. A two-sided legal-market platform, the shift toward AI-driven discovery and intelligence, and the challenge of turning third-party recognition into measurable customer value — the problem space is rich and largely uncharted.
Visible impact. In an organisation of our size, good work is seen. You'll have direct access to senior leadership and a clear line between what you build and the results it drives.
We offer meaningful ownership of something that matters, the room to do your best work, and the chance to shape the future of the legal industry. Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
Proven experience in product management, ideally on customer-facing web platforms.
Strong across both discovery and delivery — able to frame and de-risk the right problems and ship high-quality product on a credible cadence.
A data-informed approach — comfortable interpreting product and customer data to guide decisions.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams, building alignment, and managing diverse stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — an active listener who understands the importance of context, able to influence and build buy-in at all levels, including with senior leadership.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. If you’re not sure you meet every requirement, we’d still like to hear from you — we value potential as much as experience.
Depending on the role, we may be able to offer flexible working options such as hybrid working, part-time or job-share arrangements, or flexible hours Equal Opportunity Statement We are committed to fostering and promoting an inclusive professional environment for all of our employees, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Diversity and inclusion are integral values of Chambers and Partners and are key in our culture. This commitment applies across all of our employment policies and practices, from recruiting and hiring to training and career development.
