L3 SOC Analyst

Vacancy: Contract Level 3 SOC Analyst Location: Fully remote contract Determination: Inside IR35 Rate: £500-600/day

Day Rate DOE | Contract We're looking for a Contract Level 3 SOC Analyst to join a growing Security Operations Centre, acting as the technical escalation point for complex security incidents and advanced threat investigations.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of security events, leading investigations, and helping improve how a SOC operates. You'll be responsible for handling high-severity incidents, conducting threat hunts, improving detection capability, and mentoring junior analysts when required.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading complex incident investigations from analysis through to containment and recovery.

Acting as the senior escalation point for security incidents.

Conducting proactive threat hunting across endpoint, cloud, identity, and email environments.

Improving detection logic, alert quality, and SOC processes.

Correlating multiple telemetry sources to identify attack paths, root causes, and remediation actions.

Producing clear incident documentation and stakeholder reporting.

Supporting the development and mentoring of Tier 1 and Tier 2 analysts.

What We're Looking For

Strong SOC experience at Tier 3 / Senior Analyst level.

Proven incident response and threat hunting capability.

Deep Microsoft Security stack expertise.

Experience improving detections, processes, and SOC maturity.

Ability to remain calm and provide technical leadership during major incidents.
