Junior Sales Analyst
(Commercial Executive)

Would suit a Graduate with placement year, a Junior Analyst, Merchandising Administrator or a Supply Chain / Planning Administrator looking for the next step.
Our client is a product sourcing company and supplier to retail who due to continued growth now have an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Executive to join their team in Wigan.
Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities and risks
Assess the profitability of existing products and make recommendations for optimisation
Develop and recommend pricing strategies based on market analysis and competitive benchmarking.
Partner with New Product Development (NPD) teams to evaluate the commercial viability of new products
Conduct margin and profitability analysis.
Conduct margin and profitability analysis.
Monitor pricing compliance and discount effectiveness.
Support promotional pricing and product launch pricing models.
Evaluate impact of pricing changes on revenue and profitability.
Review macro-economic factors which could affect departments commercially (forecasts, pricing, logistics etc) including (but not exhaustive to) exchange rate, UK economy & consumer confidence
Strong background in commercial analysis working with large data sets and creating reports
Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualisation or BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, modelling, data analysis)
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability with keen attention to detail
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data to non-technical audiences
Experience in pricing strategy and/or product profitability analysis is highly desirable
Degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field preferred
Good team player with a positive attitude to driving team goals
