Are you a Graduate/ Junior Electrical Design Engineer who is looking to work on technically challenging, high-value and rewarding projects in a specialist sector like the pharmaceutical sector? This is an opportunity to join a well-established Building Services Contractor with over 25 years of experience delivering bespoke M&E solutions on projects up to £100m. Known for their quality-first approach and in-house expertise, they offer a true end-to-end service - from concept design through to installation and long-term maintenance.

The Role

You'll be assisting senior engineers with electrical design and delivery of complex building services projects. Working alongside a highly skilled engineering team, you'll have a great opportunity to gain a great level of exposure and direction from experienced professionals. This role is ideal for an engineer who has a year or two under their belt and is looking for quality training.

Key Responsibilities

Design and specification of electrical building services systems

Produce detailed calculations and design using industry software such as Amtech, Electrical OM, Relux, and Revit, but happy to train up on any software for the right candidate

Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, and tender documentation

Attend design team meetings, site visits, and inspections as required

Ensure designs comply with current legislation, standards, and best practice

Key Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)

Minimum 1-5 years of experience in electrical building services design

Working experience with design software

Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice

Working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIBSE) desirable

Full UK driving licence preferred
